yana (yet another network analyzer):: v 0.2.1 (alpha 3)
Project page: http://yana.sourceforge.net/
Contents |
Purpose
It is silly but original purpose was to understand snmp protocol... Then the idea to write small, simple, no-install-required network tool arrived.
Scope
yana is Yet Another Network Analyzer, and could be used as a tool for TCP, UDP, IP, ICMP, ARP, SNMP, EGP, FPT, SNTP, HTTP protocols.
It has set of built-in utilities such as Ping, Traceroute, HTTP get, and so on.
It is alfa 3 version at the moment. Please use with care.
Source code
yana source code is Free Pascal, Lazarus dialect. Code is commented (in PasDoc syntax), so you may build unit reference guide.
Source code is available on Source Forge for download under GPL.
Screenshots
There is a Reference Guide available for download at SourceForge. Look for PDF file in download area.
Pictures below are only a few of many to give an impression. Figure 1 shows the yana' Main window used to access all modules.
Figure 2 shows localhost module Connections tab.
Figure 3 shows similar Connections tab, but information has been received using snmp from my printer.
Bug reports and comments
It could be really great if you find time to submit your bug reports and comments to sergei@kostigoff.net.
Many thanks to people who already did.
Regards,
Sergei
